New versions of various Capacity Management Handbooks were approved by the RNE General Assembly at its last meeting on 6th December 2022:
- Handbook for Procedures for Capacity Strategy (Version 2.0)
- Handbook for Procedures for Capacity Model (Version 3.0)
- Handbook for Procedures for Temporary Capacity Restriction Management (Version 2.0)
All handbooks are now available in our Downloads section.
These documents reflect the efforts of Infrastructure Managers and Railway Undertakings, RNE and FTE, outlining the processes designed for the future Smart Capacity Management and paving the way to a harmonised way of planning capacity in advance and handling temporary capacity restrictions (TCRs).
With the publication of the above handbooks, the TTR processes are moving further beyond the planning stage, becoming lived reality, and shaping the future of rail capacity planning.
