RNE Ontology was established as a task force to provide support to the Infrastructure Data Quality Working Group (WG) and the Big Data Change Control Board (CCB). Is a collaborative initiative established to bring together experts from RNE members. Its primary objective is to foster a shared understanding of the ERA Ontology and its implications for infrastructure data exchange, particularly in relation to the Railway Infrastructure Register (RINF).

The RNE Performance Management group defines international processes and KPIs for Infrastructure Managers (IMs) and proposes frameworks to monitor and improve train performance management across Rail Freight Corridors (RFCs). It supports implementation and facilitates the exchange of experience among RFCs and IMs. The group also oversees functional improvements of TIS related to reporting and acts as the Reporting Change Control Board.

They identify issues, assign corrective actions to responsible partners, and maintain Data Quality Handbooks that define structured procedures and Data Quality Indicators based on observed needs.
