The Path Coordination System (PCS) is an international path request coordination system for Path Applicants, Infrastructure Managers (IMs,) Allocation Bodies (ABs) and Rail Freight Corridors (RFCs). The internet-based application optimises international path coordination by ensuring that path requests and offers are harmonised by all involved parties.

PCS enables coordinated requesting and allocation of international paths across Europe. It provides harmonised workflows between Applicants and Infrastructure Managers/ Allocation Bodies/ Corridors.

  • A European ‘hub’ where all cross-border requests can be coordinated and potentially also booked.
  • Gradual support for all booking process types throughout 2025-2030.
  • Support for automated allocation of path requests for certain booking types.
