After the RNE General Assembly approved the TTR implementation in May 2017, implementation efforts started. First, several pilots tested the Capacity Models and Supplies on dedicated lines. Starting in 2019, national implementation projects were launched, aiming for a full implementation of TTR.
Based on feasibility studies and in-depth analyses by the national TTR projects, RNE agreed to aim for a gradual TTR implementation in timetable 2028, starting with first components ready for timetable 2025. For some components, the adaption of the European and national legal framework is required, especially for the provision of Capacity Supplies and safeguarding of capacity.
To further accelerate the TTR implementation, several IMs and other stakeholders agreed to conduct pilots or to create Minimum Viable Products (MVPs).
