Advance Capacity Planning covers the Capacity Strategy, Capacity Model, and Capacity Supply Plan, providing a structured progression from strategic objectives to detailed capacity delivery. The process starts five years before the concerned working timetable period and includes several consultation rounds, the possibility to submit Capacity Needs Announcements (CNAs), IM harmonisation rounds. Each phase concludes with the transparent publication of the relevant deliverable.

The consolidation of all known and expected capacity volumes is visualised in the Capacity Models.

Capacity Supplies

The Capacity Supply Plan covers every individual day of the working timetable period and is continuously updated until the end of that period.

Temporary Capacity Restrictions (TCRS)

Keep the infrastructure and its equipment in good condition and to allow infrastructure development in accordance with market needs.
