Advance Capacity Planning

Capacity Supplies

Based on the final Capacity Model, Infrastructure Managers (IMs) establish the Capacity Supply Plan, which refines the Capacity Model by incorporating the outcome of consultations with applicants, and the coordination activities between IMs.

The Capacity Supply Plan covers every individual day of the working timetable period and is continuously updated until the end of that period. The plan includes all relevant details of pre-planned capacity available for allocation – presented as capacity planning objects with defined characteristics, volumes and allocation rules – as well as capacity that has not been pre-planned.

In addition, the Capacity Supply Plan clearly identifies capacity that is not available for allocation, including capacity restrictions and capacity allocated during the running timetable. It also indicates alternative capacity available during capacity restrictions with major and high impact in order to provide clarity, predictability and equal access for all applicants.

The Capacity Supply Plan is published 11 months before the beginning of the concerned timetable period. The published Capacity Supply Plans are available in the European Capacity Management Tool.
