Framed by a key note speech provided by DG MOVE Director for Land Transport Kristian Schmidt via video, the RNE General Assembly decided during its meeting on 16th of May 2024 in Riga to raise the RNE Member’s financial contributions to the work of the association significantly in order to prepare RNE timely for the possible future role of becoming Network Coordinator.

In addition, RNE Members agreed to launch a comprehensive set of related activities to ensure RNE’s readiness to deliver on time on the tasks envisaged to be performed by the Network Coordinator.

Paul Mazataud, President of RNE stated, that this is a strong signal of Infrastructure Managers regarding their commitment towards embracing their future responsibilities under the Draft Capacity Management Regulation.
