Strategic discussion on TTR

The Timetable Redesign was the focus of last week’s high-level meeting between Infraestruturas de Portugal and RNE.

The President Miguel Jorge de Campos Cruz, Vice President Carlos Alberto João Fernandes and other directors of Infraestruturas de Portugal met with RNE Vice President Guus De Mol, who is especially responsible for TTR along with RNE Senior TTR Implementation Manager and Team Leader Josef Zitzler.

This meeting highlighted two crucial developments:

  • The highest-level attendance showed clear support of the Timetable Redesign.
  • Also, Infrastructure Managers located in the outskirts of Europe see the necessity of and are progressing with the implementation of the Timetable Redesign.

More key points of this meeting are:

  • Infraestruturas de Portugal is fully aware of the capacity regulation and the related preparation of the timeline. The remaining time, until entry into force, will be used for testing certain TTR elements.
  • The change management is a crucial part for transition and the final implementation. This is the case for Infraestruturas de Portugal as it is for many other IMs.
