On 26 June 2025, RNE representatives took part in the PRIME Plenary Meeting in Brussels, where high level representatives of Rail infrastructure Managers, DG MOVE and ERA gathered to discuss strategic questions around infrastructure development, management and European cooperation.
Elisabeth Hochhold, RNE’s Head of Legal, Sales, and HR, was invited to present an update on RNE’s ongoing activities to prepare for the role of Network Coordinator, with a special focus on the design of European Frameworks for Capacity Management and Traffic Management. In addition, RNE was tasked to follow up to the PRIME Deep Dive on Capacity Performance and to start preparing the performance related activities entrusted to ENIM under the upcoming capacity regulation – in close dialogue with PRIME KPI subgroup activities.
Harald Reisinger, RNE’s CIO and CFO, together with Joachim Lücking from the European Commission, took the stage as Co-Chairs of the PRIME Digital Subgroup, showcasing the ongoing digitalisation efforts.
Linda Thulin and Alfred Pitnik, Co-Chairs of the PRIME Task Force on Governance, presented the Task Force’s findings – another step toward streamlined and collaborative governance in the European rail sector.
RNE remains committed to work with PRIME and the rail sector towards a swift implementation of the draft Capacity Regulation.
