After more than a decade of service and leadership, we bid farewell to Péter Rónai as he stepped down from his role as Vice President of RailNetEurope (RNE) on 30 June 2024.
Péter Rónai’s Key Positions at RNE
Péter Rónai began his contribution by joining the RNE Managing Board in 2013.
Since then, his leadership in the Network Statement and Corridor Information Document Working Group, and later in the Legal Matters Working Group, has been instrumental in navigating the complexities of legal matters and fostering strong relations with key stakeholders such as OTIF, CIT, CER, EIM and the Rail Freight Corridors.
Balancing Roles between RNE and MÁV
Managing responsibilities between RNE and MÁV Hungarian State Railways Co. presented some challenges.
In a recent interview, Péter highlighted that the ever-changing regulatory environment required a continuous infusion of energy and an innovative perspective.
His adaptability and resilience have been key to his and RNE’s success.
Achievements under Péter’s Guidance
