RailNetEurope (RNE) is committed to making its corporate website accessible in accordance with the Austrian Federal Accessibility Act (Barrierefreiheitsgesetz – BaFG).
This accessibility statement applies to rne.eu, the website of RNE in its desktop and mobile versions. It does not apply to other content or websites published on any of RNE subdomains or websites of RNE IT applications.
This website is managed by RNE. It is designed to be used by as many people as possible, including people with disabilities. It is designed to be compatible with the latest version of Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox and Apple Safari browsers.

Compliance status
This website was tested online and has achieved a high level of accessibility. It is partially compliant with technical standard EN 301 549 v.3.2.1 and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA due to the non-compliances listed below.
Non-accessible content
Despite our best efforts to ensure accessibility of the RNE website, we are aware of some limitations which we are working on fixing. Below is a description of known limitations. Please contact us if you encounter an issue not listed below.
Known limitations for the RNE website:
- Hyperlinks: some links do not have readable text.
- PDF: some documents are in PDF format and are not accessible.
- Missing image description: Some images on banners and carousel do not have image description.
- Interactive maps: Interactive maps are not accessible to people with vision impairment or users who rely on keyboard navigation.
- Graphs and charts – use of colour: Some graphs and charts rely on colour alone to communicate information, which is confusing for people with colour vision deficiency.
- Video captions: Some of our videos do not have captions.
What we are doing to improve accessibility
We are working with online tools and our website supplier to make sure that this website continues to meet the criteria of relevant legal acts and technical standards.
