Timetable quality: RNE commitment to mandatory PCS interfaces and to reduction of national parameters

As requested by the sector on several occasions, RNE has approved in its meeting of the RNE General Assembly on 16 May 2018 the creation of TSSI compliant PCS mandatory interfaces. With this step, RNE will fulfil one of the main requirements of the ‘Memorandum of Understanding for planning international freight (created by the CEO Task Force of freight RUs) and takes a large step towards improved quality of timetables.

The agreed project foresees the creation of interfaces between PCS and national systems starting with the timetable period 2022 for already existing processes. This also provides the first steps in the direction of a common TTR IT Landscape and ensures that RNE members achieve TSI compliance within the next years.

At the same time, RNE works on the reduction of national particularities/parameters. The first steps in that direction in the respective RNE and TSI groups and boards have already been taken. With this additional effort RNE covers some of the most pressing demands for RUs and Applicants.
