TIS 2020 – Rollout of a New Version
The final rollout of a new TIS version is expected by the end of July 2020. In this new version, several previously existing functional limitations and workarounds have been eliminated, and in line with that the TAF/TAP TSI framework was introduced as the basis for message exchange.
Major targets were to increase the usability, reduce known issues and ultimately to provide a state of the art, modern and stable user interface, which can handle considerably more users, messages and data interfaces.
One of the most significant achievements is the optimised user management, which is now in the hands of the participating companies. A new data sharing concept has been introduced as well. The strict requirement for mutual agreement between cooperating companies was replaced by a simplified approach based on the sharing data without a written contract between cooperating companies involved in the same international train run.
Good quality applications are always dependent on user input. Information updates and comments are therefore very welcome and can be requested at/addressed to firstname.lastname@example.org
