RFC Amber – New Associate Member of RNE
We are very happy to welcome the 11th Rail Freight Corridor, RFC Amber, among our Members. RFC Amber’s application for RNE Associate Membership was approved on 6 December 2017 by the RNE General Assembly.
The new corridor, which shall become operational by the end of January 2019, comprises five rail Infrastructure Managers and one Allocation Body on the following principal route: Koper – Ljubljana – / Zalaszentivan – Sopron/Csorna – / (Hungarian-Serbian border) – Kelebia – Budapest – Komarom – Leopoldov / Rajka – Bratislava – Zilina – Katowice – Radom – Terespol – (Polish-Belarus border).
RNE has been acting as a coordination platform for the RFCs since 2013. In addition, in order to strengthen the cooperation between the RFCs and RNE, the initial nine RFCs became Associate Members of RNE in 2015.
